The short version
Pick v0 if you work with code, already use Vercel or GitHub, or care most about fine control over how the screens look. Pick CreonAI if you would rather start by describing the app, want to try it before making an account, and want sign ups, a database and payments on your own Supabase and Stripe accounts. You can still open the code whenever you like.
Where v0 is the better choice
v0 is made by Vercel, so deploying to Vercel is built in, and it syncs with GitHub. It also has a visual design mode for editing screens directly. If you have a developer, or you are one, that fits neatly into how you already work, and you may well prefer it.
Where CreonAI is the better fit
- You can try it with no account and no card: a first build and two changes
- You describe the app in plain words, and the code is written in front of you
- It checks its own work, looking at the pages it made before it says it is done
- Apps can have sign ups, a database and Stripe payments, connected to your own Supabase and Stripe accounts
- Your data sits in your own Supabase project, and you get real files you can download
- When you want the code, a computer gets a full code editor, terminal and preview in the browser, and there is a VS Code extension too
How the two compare
- Who it is for: v0 suits people who already work with code and Vercel. CreonAI suits people who would rather describe what they want
- Where it goes live: v0 deploys to Vercel. CreonAI puts it online at its own Creon address, and you can take the files anywhere
- Trying it: CreonAI lets you build before you make an account
- Price: CreonAI is free to start, with paid plans from £19.99 a month. v0's plans change, so check its pricing page
The catches with CreonAI
- A free app carries a small badge and goes to sleep after 7 days. It is never deleted, and upgrading wakes it up
- A bigger app can take more than one day of free credits, or a paid plan
- It builds web apps that open in a browser. It cannot build a signed download for the Play Store or the App Store
